Privacy policy

This policy describes the information this booking website collects and what it is used for. The operator must insert its verified business contact details and review this policy against its practices and applicable Kenyan data protection requirements before launch.
1. Details we collect
When you make a trip enquiry, we ask for your name, email, phone number, destinations, preferred travel date, trip length, number of travellers, preferences and any optional message. If you later make a deposit, you may send an M-Pesa transaction code and payment phone number. Please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information in the optional notes.
2. Why we use it
We use these details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposed itinerary, communicate about availability and deposits, process a booking and resolve payment or customer-service questions. Our booking database is hosted using Supabase when the owner enables live booking.
3. Optional guest reviews
After a confirmed trip ends, a guest may submit a review containing a display name, star rating and feedback. Reviews remain private until authorised staff approve them. If published, the display name, review text, rating and destination information become publicly visible. You can contact the business to request correction or removal where applicable. Fictional examples on the preview page are clearly labelled and are not testimonials.
4. Who sees your information
Only authorised TK Safaris administrators should have access to the private booking dashboard. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process information for the purposes of operating the site. If automatic emails are enabled, the selected transactional email provider also processes the booking email details to send acknowledgements. We do not sell your contact information. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Payments
This site may store a booking reference and secret proof-submission token on the device used to create the booking, so you can submit an M-Pesa code later, privately track your booking status, and submit a review after your trip. It does not store personal booking details in local browser storage. This site does not directly collect M-Pesa PINs, card numbers or bank passwords. Deposits are paid in the M-Pesa app directly to a confirmed Buy Goods Till. Any transaction reference sent through this site is manually reviewed; it is not an automatic verification of payment.
6. Retention and requests
Booking records are retained for booking administration and legitimate legal or accounting needs. To request access, correction or deletion where applicable, contact the operator through the business contact details published on the homepage. Some records may have to be retained to meet lawful obligations.
7. Security and changes
We use restricted administrative access and database permissions. Internet services are not entirely risk-free. We may update this policy when the booking process or legal requirements change.
